My Sherwood S-2680 CP receiver from the mid 1980s was experiencing various issues including occasional speaker power drop outs and static shocks when I touched it. I dropped it off and two weeks later it was fixed and now works perfectly! Over 100 solder joints were repaired, a new speaker terminal block was installed and the ground updates with a 3 prong cord. Sounds like new. I had looked around for a good electronics repair shop and they are hard to find so I was very pleased to find a great shop less than 50 miles from my home.

I dropped off a vintage Technics SA8500X in need of service that I purchased on eBay cheap to be repaired. I had the same model as a kid so having one restored means a lot to me.the shop went through it thoroughly replacing the capacitors, cleaning and upgrading the power supply cord. Excellent skills and service at a fair price.

I called yesterday with some questions about a possible TV repair, and the technician was very generous in taking some time out of his day to listen to me and give some input on what might be going on with the TV, despite having other things going on. Work of this nature can oftentimes be thankless, despite taking an immense amount of time and experience. In the era of everything being so corporate, Champaign is lucky that this business is around. These days it's rare to find a small business where someone has a wealth of experience, a desire to help, and a welcoming demeanor. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me.

I have had several pieces of equipment I've taken here. I have been happy with all the work I've had done. Bill is very knowledgeable and highly skilled individual. He goes that extra mile with the work he does. I live over an hour away from his shop and will not think of going anywhere else. He is more than reasonable with his shop prices. You can tell he truely loves what he does.

Bill is not an incredible tech on fixing hi end vintage and modern stereo gear or anything electronics but he is one heck of a nice guy as well. He is in high demand as well. Us audiophiles are so lucky to have him. I enjoy hanging out with him every time I take him something to fix and their have been many pieces of stereo gear I've taken him. We should be very thankful we have Bill in central Illinois with his gift because there aren't to many guys that can do what he does!👍 Bob from Bloomington il.
